8x31 buttons are so cool!

In my opinion, the resolution is in that awkward inconvenient space where every pixel still counts, but there's so much room for expression and creativity. They have history, and tie the social, small web together

However, in practice, I think they're just a bit too annoying to keep updated. The friction of downloading someone's button, getting it into my blog, setting it up to be displayed on the about page, and then updating it on my server is just a bit too high

So I made 88x31.store! You can store your buttons here, but you can also purchase ('like') other people's buttons to add them to your collection

This is the current state of my collection! There's a very simple API to embed a user's collection, to be used in iframes like above. Since it's on atproto, there's also a simple XRPC API, too, if you want more control over the end result

Yes, this is on Atproto! This is also my first time publishing lexicons, I haven't gotten around to it with xcvr. I'm not fully sure that I did everything correct there, because while you can search for lex:store.88x31.button on pdsls & it shows the proper lexicon, when I tried to edit a lexicon thru pdsls, it failed to happily validate a correct record. If any lexicon enjoyers are in chat and can help debug what I did wrong, please help TY!!!

(also I didn't make the documentation pages for lexicon methods yet nor the schemas, but I think since the lexicon records were posted it should have worked) (who knows)

You can look at my codes on tangled!

IDK if there's anything else I was meaning to say, sleepy...

onwards!

*we know that's a lie lol
