eff and I are *incredibly* proud of our niece Sara, whose debut middle grade novel, PHOEBE OGAWA AND THE ART OF NOT CARING launches on Oct. 20th from Annick Press! Can't wait to read this. ♥️ Cover art: ryuvine, designed by Simin Dewji. Acquired by Claire Caldwell, edited by Jieun Lee, copyedited by Linda Pruessen, proofread by Sofia Ramirez.

The book has already garnered praise, including starred reviews in School Library Journal ("A thoughtful exploration of grief, mental health for all middle grade collections.") and Booklist ("Expertly written with the sensitivity and poignancy necessary to convey deep grief and hurt feelings, this debut is going to break and mend hearts of families dealing with any number of hardships.")

You can find out more info about the book on the Annick website:
