Bluesky Social PBC Must Die For ATProto to Live

ATProto, also known as AT Protocol if you're a cop (sarcasm) or the Atmosphere if you're not worried about character limits, is the protocol that allows for interconnection between:

• Aether OS
• StreetSeen
• Anisota
• Inlay
• kipclip
• DOOM over AT Protocol
• Library Sky
• Streamplace
• dndx
• Offprint (hey that's where we are!)
• Lexicon Community
• Colibri
• Lexicon Store
• Bluefeed
• RPG Actor Registry
• The Astrosky Ecosystem
• You & Me
• nooki.
• LinkedClaims
• GreenGale
• mochott
• TOKIMEKI
• jakelazaroff.com
• Chavatar
• Beacon Bits
• BookHive
• Sifa ID
• TitleGraph
• Hypercerts
• Certified
• Effem
• Diffdown
• OpnShelf
• Denazen
• Margin
• vmx
• atroom
• tangled
• kibun
• Stratos

And more! (Lexicon Chooser stopped showing me results past 100)

Why is one company in charge of setting the specification and merging proposed improvements? One that is beholden to Bain Capital Crypto and not the community that actually builds here, and whose employees get into fights with users. A company who built their moderation tools so incorrectly that you can push a block record for moderation.bsky.app and they're literally unable to moderate your account. One who has gone to an event for the community by the community to announce that they're trying to replace smaller projects.

The community won't survive if all the air in the room keeps getting taken up. It's time to stop treating Bluesky like they're better than the other projects sharing this protocol. They should have to work on the same playing field to get changes made as everyone else.
