Summer's Play
What does the Sun do when we can't see?
Every time that She leaves it feels like forever! but when She returns, bringing life and light and joy, it's like She never left except for this here boy. i know i'm just a toy; Sun's got lovers everywhere. but i will not play coy when i need Her, i can share. the Sun is made for fun (brutality is not the intent). She spins me fine as wine and i don't ask where She went. i've never really cared to note the places that She sleeps or ask Her how She fared while i, Her lonely vigil, keep. if only i could reach the heights survive the Arctic's frozen nights (although it sounds like a bummer) i'd go to where She stays to play (or at least in the summer) and feel Her kiss for endless day.
