Transitioning to a Sacred Culture

've been fascinated with the transition from a Profane culture to a Sacred one for a long time.

In 2008 (senior year in college), my final project for the course Religion in Culture was a video essay on the mashup artist Girl Talk.

I analyzed his live shows through the lens of sociologists like Emile Durkheim and Victor Turner, and the concepts of Collective Effervescence and Communitas.

The thesis I build on today is the same one I was exploring 17 years ago: how do we use the tools of our times to move music to the forefront of human experience, connection, and transcendence?
