Pianist Tommy Flanagan was one of those guys, like George Cables or John Hicks, that  simply can’t play a wrong note. One of the major sidemen of the 50s-o0s, he leads his own trio with all stars Rufus Reid/b and Albert Heath/dr at a 2000 gig in Milano Italy, and is rich form on his own “Raincheck” and richly melodious on “So In Love”, glowing on “If You Could See Me Now”.
