Pianist/keyboardist and composer Kiefer mixes hip hop, urban funk and jazz on this album containing multiple guests and collaborations. Some of it, such as “As She Was” with Omari Jazz and Shibo is richand romantic, while “I Let My Hair Grow” is a fun funkfest with some hip electric bass work, and “get to The Moon” with Relyae, Amber Navran and CARRTOONS pretty, wondrous and hip. Kiefer shows his modern jazz chops on “Overture”, while pop and hip hop get to the streets on “Daydreaming” with Cisco Swank, Relyae and CARRTOONS, and some earthy messages are delivered on”Nowhere Fast” from Rae Khalil. Attitude over musicianship.
