The Tuesday Ritual

A poem of a friend circles journey and evolution and inevitable dissolution

t started with a scorpion bowl shared between brothers. It grew to partners, to family, to a life.

The table added chairs for friends wide and far. A Tuesday Ritual - a circle, a light.

As time passed our ritual became empty much like the bowl at the end of those Tuesday nights.

Until one day we drifted apart.

Weddings uncelebrated.

Stories untold.

Friendships but a memory.

Hurt to heavy to hold.
