World of Warcraft Forever

I think I never talked about this anywhere on social media but I really like MMORPGs. I'm a long-time fan of Blizzard games and grew up with games like Diablo and Warcraft.

When I was a kid I didn't have enough money for a World of Warcraft subscription and only was able to start with the game after my first real jobs when I was around 19-20. However I made my first expressions with the game on private servers earlier but I never really had the same connection that those who played it in 2004-2008 had.

I still feel nostalgic about it. I think World of Warcraft catches this Millenial gamer urge that a lot of games nowadays can't really replicate anymore - also mostly because it's something really outdated. Most people hop in and play a few rounds of Battle Royale on Fortnite or a quick session in Dead by Daylight.

For me it was nice to experience Classic in 2019. I usually played Retail which is still a great game and I love the endgame system and fluid gameplay (M+ and Raids). But 2019 didn't replicate the feeling a lot of people had with the game when they were younger which is easy to understand.

Forever together

I think I'll have a lot of fun with Forever. I think the game looks great, I played the demo a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun, even though I was playing it mostly alone which felt awkward. I would've loved to have someone to share some moments with but it is what it is.

However on Forever launch I'll look for an active community (for example No Pressure) or maybe an active guild to play with. The game really lives from community and playing with friends so I think for me it will be important to find a community to play with.

My personal goals

Honestly, just reaching 60 and having a blast on the way there. I want to explore the new dungeons, quests and zones. I still hope they'll fix Dungeon XP though for my alt-runs.

Depending on the endgame I could see myself raiding and min-maxing a little bit.
