How do you compute GenAI's ROI?

These GenAI companies, like OpenAI and Anthropic (is Perplexity still alive, not that it matters, LOL), heavily subsidized their chatbot product offerings, which hooked a lot of clueless CEOs into the FOMO cycle. Companies took the bait, and now reality is sinking in - where is the return? They don't have a clue on how to compute the ROI. Can they chatGPT their way out of this slump? Is the bubble bursting sooner rather than later? I cannot wait.
