PDS targeted:

ny without an invite code needed. Including those with captcha enabled, because the accounts can be created manually

Handle pattern:

  • Starts with one or two names, mostly spanish and portuguese names, but some english names can appear too
    1. carla moreira
    2. caleb jesus
    3. brenda cunha
    4. caua (cauã) pinto
  • 2 or 3-digit number
    1. 91
    2. 934
    3. 895
    4. 80
  • Ends with any default handle offered by the PDS

Real handle examples:

Behavior observed:

All accounts will always like the same post, that might be from another account following the same handle pattern but hosted inside a Bluesky mushroom PDS.

Some accounts will repost just one post, usually from a small account that may not be a bot, but someone who sought or bought fake engagement.

All posts targeted will have weird stats. Or it will have only hundreds of likes, or will have hundreds of reposts. And the numbers don't match the account's natural reach or natural engagement.

No bot account posted a standalone post or posted a direct reply.

Real behavior examples:

The replies are only more accounts looking for engagement hacking, but are not necessarily involved with the farm.

You can find many more examples of posts being boosted by fake engagement under the #wolvesville

Some fake accounts being created manually for this case are from the person below, but they are using the Bluesky Mushrooms. However, the handle pattern is different from the automated one.
