My wife bought me a DJ controller a couple of years ago, and I only opened it up recently after I finally replaced my 11-year-old laptop. That’s a story for another time. But I’ve started to think more like a DJ while putting this playlist together. Less, “What are my favorite 10 songs?” and more, “What order makes these songs feel like one experience?” I think this week’s playlist is a reflection of that shift in thinking.

Some notes:

🎧 “Never Know” – Know Good
Starts off really sweet...and then the beat comes in. Halfway through, it gets kinda nasty before detouring into a break that reminds me of a boy band pop song.

Also: horns 🎉

🎧 “Kill The Vibe” – David Guetta + MORTEN + Prophecy
David Guetta was one of the first artists I listened to when I started getting into electronic music. Amazing that he’s still one of my favorites all these years later.

🎧 “Saxual pleasure” – ARIUS
Apparently l like horns in dance music 🎉

Also, fun fact, Matt is a founding member of the dance crew Poreotics.
