Letta ACP Support

ACP is a protocol to connect agents to development environments. It was originally build for Zed, but has since expanded to support stuff like JetBrains, VSCode, Emacs, and even Obsidian.

We get a lot of requests at Letta for ACP. People love our coding agents but often want to use their own code editors.

Letta agents are much more like colleagues or coworkers than your standard agent. They passively learn through interaction and feedback, and have persistent memory that spans any number of conversations or tasks.

Well, we just released the new and improved Agent SDK, which makes it trivial to connect anything to your Letta agents! Sarah Wooders (Letta co-founder + CTO) quickly cooked up an ACP integration for Letta using the Agent SDK.

Setting up Letta ACP

I was able to get my agent to work in Zed without doing any setup myself. To get started with Zed, simply ask your Letta agent the following:

I'd like to be able to use you in Zed. Please review https://github.com/letta-ai/letta-acp and change my Zed settings to enable Letta ACP.

Click the + button in the agent panel:

Then say hi!
