The Lucid Dreams...
omething that tangently inspires me is my very own vivid lucid dreams I've always had. I can recount the many that stuck with me through childhood, repeated scenarios with slight changes each time.
Transporting me to what feels like a whole new body and universe and awareness to go with the flow of these strange locations.
I'm able to conjure up full cities and return to their roads across multiple days or weeks between dreaming bout them. There's people with lives and conversations, I've had to pet sit some dream world friends' dogs in the dead of night in what was like a 70's wood panel, sliding door orange carpet house. But I went about this as if it was another day I've done before.
Do I draw these?
Sometimes.
Honestly they visually haunt me but I can't seem to put them to paper, only able to brain spew the dreams via journals across the net.
Some of these lucid dreams have traumatized me for a full 24 hours, I was numb to actual life and spent the day trying so hard to forget the graphic images my brain decided to create.
Schizophrenia is to blame. A curse really. I vowed to never draw my visual hallucinations growing up, I didn't want to manifest them to reality. I thought if I locked them in my head no one else would be effected by this reality hopping moments I feel I go through.
But I'm in my 30s now, medicated. I till have these dreams but they now dip into uncanny emptiness with only a few people.
In recent I've been transported to this dusty bar built into a cliff, a highway stretches over that feels like no one even uses.
The wildest part was when I went there the first time, I was dead set sure I had been there before, yeas before, when in reality I have never dreamed of this location until around May of this year I believe.
Been to that dream place a few times now, same lonely setting with only this 60 year old lean mean buff lady that runs it. Every now and then there are fuzzy, out of focus other beings there but only to drink not socialize with me in dream.
Dreams are strange, I'll continue to catalogue them <3
