A bitter fallout between musicians Wikise and Konkala has taken a new twist, with Queen Sheba caught in the middle and accused of fueling their split.

The once close musical partners have opened up about their separation, with Wikise accusing Queen Sheba of turning them against each other, while Konkala reveals that a passport money dispute played a key role in their breakdown.

Speaking on Podcast Malawi, Wikise claimed Queen Sheba created a rift between him and Konkala before later becoming close to him.

“What I have seen is that my sister (Queen Sheba) can do things to someone and then forget, acting as if everything is fine, but for me, I have not forgotten what she did to me. I am not okay with her,” Wikise said.

Wikise alleged that Queen Sheba’s actions pushed him and Konkala into conflict over the passport money issue.

“I feel like she turned us against each other and destroyed our bond. If she had not told Konkala, ‘I forgive you for the passport money issue,’ we would not have ended up hating each other,” he said.

The “Chikamphulikire’l” hit maker further questioned why Queen Sheba later started working with Konkala after the disagreement.

“She just came and caused us to hate each other, then later took that person and started moving around with him. Maybe she thought that by being with Konkala, she would be able to make hit songs,” Wikise said.

However, Konkala gave a different account of the fallout, saying their relationship started falling apart after disagreements surrounding his passport before their trip to South Africa.

Speaking to Mibawa Television, Konkala said Wikise had helped him raise money for the passport through shows they performed in Malawi.

He said the matter became complicated after meeting Queen Sheba in South Africa, where they performed shows in Cape Town and Durban.

Konkala said Queen Sheba later told him that she had forgiven him over the passport issue, while claiming she was the one who paid for the passport.

“She claimed that she was the one who paid for my passport, not Wikise, but what I knew was that Wikise paid for it using money we made from shows in Malawi,” Konkala said.

Despite their fallout, Konkala praised Wikise for helping him build his career, describing him as someone who played an important role in his journey.

Wikise, who was contacted during the same interview, also appeared open to reconciliation, saying their partnership had produced good music and memorable moments.

“It is good that he remembers where he came from. He has also helped me in many ways. The vibe was nice, and we made good music videos,” Wikise said. “ My door is open. If he wishes to come back again, my door is open.”

Meanwhile, Queen Sheba has pushed back against the accusations, denying that she caused the split between the two artists.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, she said she did not create hatred between Wikise and Konkala, but suggested that some people wanted to use her.

“Everyone wants to be in a place where there is peace and happiness. I did not turn you and Konkala against each other, but the problem is that you wanted to take advantage of him,” she said.

In another post on Wednesday, Sheba further questioned how she could be blamed for turning Wikise against Konkala, asking whether she was present when the two artists separated in 2018. She said the issue was simply about one person trying to take advantage of a fellow artist.
