Govt deploys MDF vehicles to return displaced Kasasile residents home

The Malawi Government has stepped in to help displaced Kasasile residents return home after their planned march to Lilongwe was called off

The group had reached Jenda in Mzimba District during their journey to Lilongwe, where they intended to present their grievances to the government over their displacement from land they previously occupied.

The residents maintain that they were forced from their homes following an operation carried out by the Malawi Defence Force, leaving many families without permanent shelter.

Government authorities intervened before the group completed the journey, arranging military transport to return them to Kasasile instead of allowing them to continue to the capital.
