Want a prophecy? Prophet Liabunya says pay first

People hoping to receive a personal prophecy from Prophet Austin Liabunya may now have to reach for their wallets first, after the preacher unveiled a new requirement.

Liabunya announced on Sunday that anyone seeking a personal message from God through his ministry must first make a payment, warning that those who do not pay should not expect God to reveal anything concerning them through him.

Speaking during a live broadcast, Liabunya said he does not offer private ministry sessions without prior booking. He also said people should not come to him empty-handed.

The prophet said those who want him to visit their homes for prayers should also be prepared to cover the costs involved, arguing that both fuel and his time have value.

“You give me your money, simple. You can’t come to meet me empty-handed. Sizitheka, no. You have to book and you have to pay,” Liabunya said during the broadcast.

Liabunya said anyone who is unwilling or unable to meet those conditions should not expect to receive one-on-one prayers or prophecy from him.

His remarks are likely to reignite debate over the growing practice of charging for private ministry services, with some Christians arguing that spiritual guidance should be freely available while others say ministers deserve financial support for their time and expenses.
