ward-winning rapper Gwamba has sent excitement soaring after unveiling a star-packed lineup for his much-awaited Landlord Pakwao concert, setting the stage for what promises to be one of the hottest nights on Malawi’s entertainment calendar.

The Landlord Pakwao Concert is set to take over Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe on August 1, 2026, with Nigerian superstar Ruger leading a packed line-up assembled for a night that will also celebrate Gwamba’s musical journey.
The programme gets underway at 12:00 noon, with the first performances scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM.

The afternoon session will feature performances from Bandera, Chizmo, Zonke, Loiso, Miracle Chinga, Frank Ro, Ca$ino, Aidfest & Kineo, and Charisma, before the evening line-up takes over with Teddy Makadi, Malinga, Saint, Eli Njuchi and Kell Kay.

Gwamba is scheduled to hit the stage at 11:00 PM, setting the tone for the night’s international highlight as Ruger is expected to make his appearance at midnight.

The Nigerian hitmaker, known for tracks including “Asiwaju,” will be followed by Joe Ikon at 1:15 AM, before Zeze Kingston brings the night to a close from 2:00 AM onwards.

For Ruger, the performance is set to mark his first appearance in Malawi, adding another layer of anticipation to an already stacked concert programme. The Nigerian star has also confirmed his appearance, sending a message to Malawian fans ahead of the show.

Beyond the music, the concert has also secured backing from the corporate sector, with FDH Bank Plc coming on board as the official financial partner and Ekhaya Group serving as the official catering partner.

FDH Bank is expected to provide digital payment solutions at the event, while Ekhaya Group will oversee food and beverage services for concertgoers.

The choice of Bingu National Stadium further underlines the scale of the event, with organizers anticipating that the concert will create income opportunities for more than 1,500 people working across security, vending, transportation, stage management and other areas of event support.

With a line-up that brings together some of Malawi’s established artists, emerging talent, and an international headliner, the Landlord Pakwao Concert is shaping up to be a major moment on Malawi’s 2026 entertainment calendar.
