Bulldozer Mwangonde finishes fifth at Oak Pro in Austria

Malawian professional bodybuilder Wellington “Bulldozer” Mwangonde has finished fifth out of 20 professional athletes at the Oak Pro competition in Austria.

Mwangonde who was the 2024 Mr Malawi, described the achievement as a proud moment after months of intense preparation, sacrifice, discipline and hard work.

The bodybuilder, who represented Malawi and Germany at the international competition, said standing on the stage as a professional athlete representing Malawi was an achievement he would always cherish.

Mwangonde attributed his success to God, saying his faith had been central throughout his journey.

He also thanked his supporters for their encouragement, prayers and continued support during his preparation for the competition.

The athlete further expressed appreciation to his coach for the guidance, knowledge, patience and hard work, while thanking his family for standing by him through the challenges of his bodybuilding career.

Despite finishing fifth, Mwangonde said the result is not the end of his journey but another step forward as he looks to come back stronger.

“5th out of 20 professionals. The Bulldozer keeps moving,” Mwangonde said.

He said he would continue to focus on discipline, consistency and hard work as he pursues further success on the international bodybuilding stage.
