Police hunt man over Zomba motorcycle robbery

Police in Zomba have launched a manhunt for Innocent Nyambi, also known as Zandinyasa, in connection with the alleged robbery of a motorcycle.

Zomba Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Sergeant Andrew Mwale has confirmed the development.

Mwale said Nyambi allegedly hired a blue LIFO motorcycle from Six Miles in Zomba to Zaone Trading Centre, with the motorcycle operated by Rajab Hassan.

He said when they reached Lidi Village, Nyambi allegedly robbed Hassan of the motorcycle before fleeing the scene.

Police have since established the suspect’s identity and launched a search for him.

The police are appealing to members of the public with information that could assist in Nyambi’s arrest to report to the nearest police station.

Nyambi hails from Mphura 2 Village under Traditional Authority Chikowi in Zomba District.
