theme: gender identity and yearning to be unconditionally accepted

2023, senior year highschool

• drew this on photoshop in my highschool class.
• in same classroom of teacher from this post
• cant tell if trans joy or grief. maybe both
  1. (noticing trans joy n grief is common theme in my current schoolworks, so was wondering if it'd fall under)
  2. interesting surprise, seems to be theme even back then

  1. partner is brazilian. lots of recommended brazilian songs i used to listen to. was source of comfort

• tough time w/ parents back when i made this. yearned to be perceived myself as a whole
  1. also yearned to be accepted by teacher (the one mentioned above)
  2. coming out to parents didnt go well.
  3. teacher called me his "school daughter." kind person.
  4. last day of school, wrote long letter thanking him and came out to him in it.
     1. also came out irl briefly. he was surprised. we moved on.
     2. letter feedback:
        1. over text essentially got response of: "love the sinner, hate the sin" sentiment
        2. was heartbreaking tbh, wanted to die,
        3. but i think i am brave 4 coming out to him
