Dear readers,

Technology is failing us all. We are being told that this is the wave of the future, that we need to get on board, that every idiocy being inflicted upon us is actually good and proper. And if we disagree, then we will be cast out; jobless, penniless Luddites, seen as simple-minded peasants in the digital age, unworthy of attention.

We are the enemy, according to those with power and money at the top of the silicon behemoths that run the global economy.

And to this we say: so be it.

Tech Enemy is a publication that focuses on the failure of technology - in its promises, in the actions of major tech CEOs, in the stories told about this and that new development, in the ways it hurts and degrades the human experience. In these pages, you will find scorn and ridicule for the titans of industry who are elevated as learned and serious men (for it is mostly men), and thundering denouncements of technology that we hold in utter contempt.

In short: we are angry, so very angry, at the state of the digital world. Things are getting worse. It’s not just your imagination. Powerless as we are, all we have left is our voice, and you had best believe we will use it.
