The itch to write

It feels like I am preparing to embark on a long journey but in reality, I am already on the way. Weird.

Ever since I posted two mini blog posts, I keep having the itch to write every single day. I am afraid that if I do not scratch it, I might lose the writing fairy again. The problem? I do not know what to talk about.

I read a Substack post earlier stating that you can write about anything in your life, but what if you do not have anything? Or rather, you feel like there is nothing? I know that there is something. And I know that I am doing better than before, but I still do not feel excitement as much as I used to. I do not have interesting things (that I feel like) in my life right now that is worth talking about. Perhaps that's just me again?

I like living in the moment, which is why I started journaling (on paper) again. I am afraid to forget that I actually have a great life especially when I lost at least two years of my life because I cannot remember anything that happened during those time or whether I made or did anything. I also sometimes have distant thoughts of how far have I become really from how I used to be. Am I doing great? Or am I still stuck? Clearly, it might be just the voices lying to me again. But when you are at the moment, it is difficult to catch yourself sometimes.

I need to constantly remind myself that there is no point in yearning for lost time, instead I should be thankful for what I currently have and be hopeful for the future that I will have. It is hard work but I am proud of myself for still being here.

The journey is a tough one. And sometimes it feels like I am lost, but then an oasis will pop out of the horizon and everything will feel alright again.

Maybe you can really write about anything in your life.
