’m becoming less interested in self-improvement and more interested in self-possession.

To cherish myself.
To trust the animal intelligence of intuition and instinct.
To stop treating my time as though it were endlessly renewable.

And to keep death somewhere in the room.

Not as a threat. As a clarifying presence.

Mortality burns away a lot of bullshit.

It asks:

Why are you waiting?
Who are you trying to please?
What deserves your attention?
Who deserves your love?
What are you doing with this brief, impossible life?

Memento mori isn’t morbidity.

It’s concentration.

A reminder to care harder.
Act sooner.
Love more deliberately.
Waste less life.

No masters.
No borrowed scripts.

A concentrated life.
