enerations of misunderstanding, Genealogy of name calling, Someone else started the cycle, Hurt people continue to hurt people.

Your anger’s stirred at my presence, How I am and what I represent, Your resentment increases a hundred-fold, Your heart agonizes at the sight of my soul.

What I say is never what you hear, What you hear is never anything clear, I hurt you way before we knew each other, You bled long before this alleged murder.

I’ve been waiting with open arms for a long time, But my openness forewarns you of a heinous crime, Love and sincerity cannot be possible, Hurt people will continue to hurt people.

So, I have no choice but to put down my arms, I can’t blame you for not knowing the code needed to disarm, If ice doesn’t melt at the height of the sun, Then this ice may just be destined to remain frozen.

I’ll fly away with a murder of crows at sunrise, Far away from this forever-frozen ice, I’m determined to end this vicious cycle, Hurt people will no longer hurt other people.

Guilt will not be my new black and stacked up high inside my brand-new identity, Ice can remain ice and I can let this murderous crow go free.
