The Right Is Overly Obsessed with Communism, It's Their Thing
Communism and Socialism aren't the same thing...but that kind of nuance might be a little too hard to grok for The Right

kay, so here's the thing: Communism isn't Socialism. They're not interchangeable.
If they're not interchangeable, then why is The Right so obsessed with it?
Well, for one, it's been a tried and true tactic for decades at this point. McCarthyism, the Cold War, the Bomber Gap, all of these different tactics were used ultimately for control. Let's get this straight right now—Communism is evil and dangerous. Under Communism, the Government owns and distributes everything under a centralized power. A Dictator.
Democratic Socialism is a totally different branch of collectivist politics that operates via Democracy. We, the people, distribute the wealth. We elect officials like Zohran Mamdani to distribute the funds as we see fit and, if they don't, then we vote them out. The people have the power.
The MAGA Regime doesn't understand this kind of collectivism. All they understand is power and control. They simply cannot comprehend a world not ruled by power, but by the voice of the population.
So here we are, decades later, hearing the same Red Scare rhetoric that we've been hearing this whole time. But we can show them that's not who we are. We believe in a world without oppressive authoritarians—and we will make that world a reality together.
