rogress: Focused on defining the strategic path forward and organizing notes (Leaflet.pub). Evaluated two potential directions: building an extraction pipeline for municipal water quality reports versus tapping into EPA APIs for safe drinking water and individual well data to see if it provides useful total dissolved solids (TDS) or contaminant metrics. Struggle: Research paralysis and temptation by alternative ideas. Questioning whether to pivot to a different project or commit to this one. Also haven't validated the PDF extraction pipeline yet to test technical feasibility. Energy and time limitations with other obligations.
Plan: Stick with the original project vision and test table extraction on municipal PDF reports. The goal is to see if data can be reliably parsed and loaded into a database with sufficient accuracy and granularity before deciding whether to pivot to well/EPA data.
