I made 2 extensions for Semble: Add new Cards in Google Chrome, then recall them with Raycast

've been following Semble closely since it launched, and I'm genuinely excited about what it represents for decentralised knowledge sharing and for #ATscience.

I wanted to help more people experience what makes Semble special, so I built two cute extensions to make getting started easier.

Quick Card Capture for Google Chrome

A browser extension to add new Cards to your Collections.

Search Cards and Collections for Raycast

A Raycast command for recalling Semble Cards and Collections directly from your launcher.

Why?

I want to support Semble's growth, and the best way to do that is to help new users to start creating and sharing links.

These extensions provide small assists that integrate with existing workflows—meeting people where they already work rather than asking them to adapt entirely new habits, helping build the muscle memory and mental models that make use feel more natural.

Decentralised publishing only works if people actually publish decentrally (is that a word?). If a Chrome extension or a Raycast command helps even a handful of people start using Semble regularly, then its worthwhile.

Decentralised publishing thrives when people actually publish decentrally. If a Chrome extension or a Raycast command helps even a handful of people start using Semble regularly and discover what makes it powerful, that's worthwhile.

What's Next

Both extensions are early versions. I'll continue refining them as I discover issues and chances to improve.

I've already 😲 gotten a request to support more browsers.

If you're trying Semble, please try them out, and if you spot improvements or have ideas for other lightweight tooling that could help, you can create issues on the respective repos or say hello on Bluesky.

So excited by @cosmik.network progress.

And because we can just do stuff, I made some @raycast.com and Chrome extensions to help 🧑‍🔬 folks share knowledge on Semble even faster #ATscience #AcademicSky 🧪
