NO! you are NOT a close freind or family member NO! you are NOT a government entity NO! you are NOT a critical service

Seriously you do not qualify for my immediate, or even daily atteniton! You are a thing I think I want to kinda know about. I continue to refuse to let email be a massive dumping ground for notifications.

We live in a new world that is oversaturated and you asking for that same level of attention and YOU ARE FUCKING INSANE. Make something I WANT to use, make something I WANT to come back for, make something I LOOK FORWARD TOO. and make your notificatons be in app or a weekly highlight when I log in after a bit.

NO MORE building FOMO, I WILL MISS OUT. I AM FINE WITH THAT. In a world that's quickly adopting computers summarizing stuff and filtering out noise, you are screwed. Gemini in email is about to destroy all your email marketing campaigns

So to new app makers, the second you feel like you need to lean on email notifications....you have lost the goal. To people intgrating to ATProto and asking for e-mail, engage don't broadcast.

I know I'm not your target audiance, hell I'm not even in a targeted demographic. I am not early 20's with disposable income and overwhelming desire to stay current with every little thing at any given moment.

If you continue to demand this much attention in this new world of an attention economy where everyone is running at an attention deficit you will lose and I will spit on your grave when you are buried.
