This was a really strong introduction! Well paced and well laid out, the weakest element I thought was the in media res beginning where the lady just sort of becomes Dracula's girlfriend in a couple beats, but I also wouldn't have wanted to watch a more prolonged version of those events either so I guess yeah, just get that part over with so we can get to the evil Dracula bits. The show’s art felt both really good and pretty weak at parts, a mixed bag overall, with some of the faces in the tavern at the end of the episode standing out as particularly sloppy. But overall, a good intro, cautiously intrigued to see where the remaining three episodes of the season go, not sure how much can be covered in the hour left of Season One though.
