Full disclosure, I watched this episode before Episode One. I'm not sure how I miss-clicked so egregiously, but when I went to click on the first episode and must have accidentally clicked on this one instead, and did not realize this until the episode ended and, much to my confusion, I was prompted to click to the next episode, Episode Three. This realization was only made more confusing as I had personally found Episode Two of Season Two to start off right where Episode Four of Season One ended, so I didn't think anything was amiss watching the episode. What happens, or I guess doesn't happen, in Episode One?

Anyways, Episode Two is good, an immediate improvement over Season One in pretty much every area. I found the animation came across as better quality, the episode's plot actually moved along and had some interesting things happen like the fight with the “Symphony of Night” Boss Demons (which I thought was fun). I appreciated the effort this time around to differentiate the demons to be more than just bat monster things, though those guys show up too. I found the dynamic between Trevor, Alucard, and Sypha to be fun, though I hope we do move on to something a little deeper than just banter sooner rather than later. The (maybe?) introduction of Dracula and his War Council was interesting too, nice to get to see what he as the main villain is up to this season, as I did feel his presence was a bit lacking in the later episodes of Season One. Carmilla seems interesting, as well as the self flagellating Isaac, though Carmilla's forwardness and willingness in provoking Dracula's emotions makes her a little more dynamic to me. Not sure how the vampire hierarchy works, or what their battle plans or goals are, but maybe that was covered in the first episode. Overall, an improvement over the end of Season One, looking forward to seeing where the story goes (and what happens in Episode One).
