Not a lot happened this episode, and it's hard to put an exact finger on it, but the series came across as extra juvenile this outing, like it was playing more towards teenage narrative sensibilities rather than adult ones. I sort of like Dracula just being too exhausted and depressed to even properly hate humans like he used to, but that lethargy unfortunately just mostly contributed to the episode feeling slow. The Alucard-Sypha relationship development also felt a little undercooked- we're kinda following the Love Triangle Basics 101 playbook right now. I guess I liked Carmilla not trying to sweet talk Hector any more now that he's implicated in her subverting Dracula, that’s something that actually happened this episode. But overall, I felt this episode dragged, and I’m now starting to have some major reservations for how much more will even happen plot wise this season, what with me knowing there are only three episodes left.
