Mansions Dave and the no beard rule in Power Slap

o interesting new rule added to Power Slap, facial hair has to be below 9 mm at any and all points, apparently full beards gave competitors a serious advantage

Now obviously I don't know any of this stuff from first hand experience but obviously they didn't make that rule up out of thin air and let's not forget that Power Slap itself was built on top of the actual first ever Slap Fighting Promotion - Slap Fighting Championship

So obviously they kept working on the rules as they kept going along, the oval tables, the adjusted height on those tables, the padding on the tables

If you want to know the biggest changes made since the SFC days; the SFC didn't even have chalk or batons or even catchers

Obviously they know what they're doing it's just that all the other rules made sense right off the bat, they were more or less obvious and you didn't really question why they did it

Oh and another rule they added since the SFC days was the paint, lifted right off Basketball, you have to stand in the paint when you're striking, similar to how you can neither lift your hands nor jump while defending when your opponent is attacking in the paint in Basketball

I'm just going to say this, because it's bothering me tremendously, there's a well known Streamer who I talk to on an almost daily basis, if you've been subscribed for at least the past few months you already know who that is

He's from Nashville, TN and guys there are so many great Major League Teams from Tennessee, even when you're overlooking the Tennessee Titans you have your Memphis Grizzlies and your Nashville SC, right where this person lives

So a lot of Americans don't watch Sports at all right? they're sort of apathetic towards the matter? there's sort of a counter culture towards Sports itself amongst those people

So this person doesn't know one Sports Team from their Home State which also didn't surprise me because I know how deep that counter culture can be

I'm not really trying to bash this person or anyone it's just that I vehemently don't understand how you don't watch Sports at all

Like somebody can tell you, hey man I mainly watch athletics and you can say yeah I respect that

Somebody can tell you, yeah I'm mostly into Combat Sports and you can say yeah, give me a call next fight night

Now let's really get into it, I mean no disrespect to Athletics and Combat Sports but now let's really get into it

Even amongst Major League Fans nobody's going to walk up to you and ask, hey do you follow the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL and MLS with equal compassion?

Everyone knows we don't talk about the last two, you know that Charlie Puth Song We Don't Talk Anymore? well we don't talk about the NHL and the MLS

So it just baffles me that people don't watch Sports at all

So back to Power Slap I think I'm just going to take their word for it, obviously they're doing this based off of fighter feedback

You know physics wise it makes sense, there's a lot of shock absorption power in those beards so you can't imagine they arbitrarily made that rule up

All things considered, I wouldn't enforce that rule, I draw the line in the sand when it comes to individual grooming preferences

Obviously I don't have a long flowing beard myself but I can't condone a rule that crosses the territory of individual grooming preferences
