Trying to understand female self deprecating humour

So I just watched another Live Premiere of a Kill Tony Episode, it may be a Live Premiere but that doesn't mean it's uncensored

They bleeped out all the swearing, it's just YT, swearing is technically not a big issue but they're not risking it, there's an algorithm where excessive swearing automatically demonetizes the video so what do they do they play it safe and bleep out every swear word uttered

Swearing aside they also blur out all the flashings, it goes both ways, the men pull their pants down and the women pull their tops up

You're probably thinking that it doesn't happen as often as I'm making it seem but you'd be surprised

So before I get to what I actually wanted to talk about there was a lot of Dedrick Flynn hate and once again I stand by Dedrick Flynn

So here's what I want to talk about, this new wave of female stand up comedians who dabble in the art of self deprecating humour, but in the perspective of the female psyche

So obviously this is better than Kim Congdon, Megan Gailey and Sara Silverman where they can legitimately do a fifteen minute routine and you're genuinely asking yourself whether you're even at a Comedy Show

Seriously, their comedy is retrospective, after the routine is over you just ask yourself, wait, should I have laughed then? was that part of the joke?

So a lot of people are saying that this new wave of self deprecating female stand up comedians are actually mastering the art of stand up comedy but from the female perspective

Obviously they're not saying that there weren't female stand up comedians before, obviously there were it's just that they weren't really good

Then you have your Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero and Chelsea Handler types who have pure unadulterated Hollywood adjacent star power

You also have your Daphnique Springs and Brandi Denise types who are technically good but they're culturally boxed in, they're not ready for the mainstream and it shows with their overall lack of cultural clout, they're the opposite of  the Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero and Chelsea Handler typed if the metric is status

So there were female stand up comedians before but when you take away the gimmicks and the pageantry that representative batch of comedians wasn't that good

Kill Tony, I think it's safe to say that Show is established, they've been around

I'm not saying you need to be a self deprecating type to succeed if you're a woman, look at Kill Tony Golden Ticket Winner - Christina Mariani and yes, she's legit Italian, like all the way from Italy Italian

She's actually good looking, so much so in fact that she talks about keeping guys off of her and if I'm being down the middle about this she's not a very good Panelist

She's only been on the panel one time and there's a reason for that, I don't know how you bomb being a Panelist but she sat there all night and I think she just spoke twice all night and even that was when she was spoken to

I think if you were to make a list of all the Kill Tony Golden Tick winners from outside of the United States you'd have Ari Matti from Estonia, Ric Diez from Spain, Christina Mariani from Italy, and here's where things get interesting now we move away from Europe and head on over to East Asia, so we have Yaqiao Yang from China and Kansei Yasuda from Japan

Way to fucking drop the ball the rest of the world no wonder everybody hates you

Seriously the rest of the world, what have you ever done? you're on thin ice, you tell me right now how you've contributed to entertainment and sports

Everyone except the United States, all of Europe and all of Asia Pacific, you tell me right now exactly what you're doing in the Entertainment Industry and the Sports Industry

What was I talking about?

Oh yeah so this new wave of female self deprecating stand up comedians really intrigues me

Let's think about it, really, there are obviously male involuntary celibates right, so that doesn't really become someone's identity and definitely not to the point that their persona as a stand up comedian is defined by it

It's fascinating how the female psyche works, not only do they hold on to it but they absolutely go to town with it

I mean it's very refreshing to learn a little bit more about the female perspective but you notice the differences right away when you actually do

I'm not really questioning that style of comedy it's just that it makes you ask questions, you'd think they wouldn't make a big deal about it but obviously they're bothered by it to a point
