I beg you to not make them fall for you,

because you are not staying.

Don't text them everyday,

don't make them part of your routine and you of theirs.

Don't make them feel safe with you,

given that you will disappear.

I speak from experience because when you left,

not only did I miss you, but started to question myself,

my heart and my body.

And in the process I forgot what softness felt like,

you took it all on your way out.

So please, do not practice love with the next one,
