hi there!

i've been floating this idea around for a while now— starting from my second year of college, actually! an ex-friend (long story) wanted everyone to get into neocities.*¹ however, i've more recently been influenced by a different friend's various html and atproto escapades, so i decided to give it a try again!

and yet… sitting on that blank neocities page... started making my head spin. i've dabbled with html before (those who know<3) but being faced with it all at once? woah. i don't think i'm quite ready to take the plunge learning it yet. maybe i'm just making excuses. but leaflet felt like a more comfortable alternative at 1 in the morning, so we'll see how this goes.

things i want to talk about:

• my writing! i write fiction, i roleplay, i make original characters, and i also have some academic stuff i'm pretty proud of. i'll probably post snippets and just talk about my process, or share interesting readings.
• my art! this leaflet is actually linked to my art account, although i won't be talking about it on there.
• a media thread but instead of a thread it's a place where i don't feel constrained by a word limit.
• life stuff, i guess! my memory is, as i've learned, very abnormal, so this will be a way to keep stuff around.
• my dog? do you guys like dogs...
• and whatever else i feel like!

i hope i'm not too boring a read. admittedly i don't even journal or anything similar, so this will be a journey for all of us! thanks for reading. :-)

p.s. is the all lowercase font a good stylistic choice?
