US airstrikes pause, but the blockade remains

After 13 straight nights of U.S. attacks inside Iran, the air campaign paused on July 25. Iran also did not launch its usual retaliatory attacks on neighboring countries hosting U.S. forces.

The U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports remains in effect, and there is no new ceasefire agreement. But the break in fighting comes as mediators try to restart talks over the Strait of Hormuz.
