The UAE has cut trade with Iran

The United Arab Emirates suspended all trade and financial transactions with Iran on Wednesday, saying the measure will remain in place “until further notice.” The move came after the UAE said two ballistic missiles were fired toward its territory and triggered nationwide shelter warnings - the first such alarm in weeks. Iran denied launching them.

This is a significant break between two countries that had been important trading partners. The UAE has also served as a major re-export hub for Iran, so cutting that channel adds another layer of economic pressure on Tehran alongside U.S. sanctions and the blockade.
