Musings on music from this week.

I have heard this somewhere, at some point, but seeing it being played live is just always awe inspiring. It always feel like golden sunlight is being poured into my core.

The previous video got me thinking of other instrumental/orchestra type pieces not related to Genshin I have enjoyed and remembered this one.

Maybe I will do that this weekend. Watch "Schindler's List" or "Hotel Rwanda", because nothing get's me in the Christmas spiring than doing the right thing in the "wrong" ways :D

Speaking of Christmas, i started playing the Christmas Playlist

I am working on a Flin's week project, here is a little teaser of it. Still a wip as I actually have to render the thing now.

I also have a gift drawing I have put in the back burner until to hopefully finish by February.

I also need to actually get started on the Phainon Big Bang things. I should probably message the group as I think about it.

Traditional

I did an oil painting study with Sciel from Expedition 33. I sent it over to a friend who does this for a living and they gave me back some criticisms, we go back to bounce light. I don't know why I am having a hard time around this concept, but I feel it eludes me. I guess just keep going at it? I mean what else can I do. Not to sound like a downer more like... why am i not just automatically doing it already.

Speaking of criticism, I received feedback on this figure. More rigid lines to create stability and fixes that now looking back appear obvious.

Oh I also finished the last page in my sketchbook so now I have two down, woohoo.

I think my plan for practice is

• drawing spheres in scenes
• doing more focused light studies, worry less about the details like the eyes and things. (hard ima be honest, I wanna make a pretty picture)
• continues figure drawings with a side of heads, it's practice and I just actually enjoy

Despite my negativity sometimes and everything going on I like being alive, so this is where I mention things that reinforce that in the past week.

I have seen so many of these birds this week, just like...flying. and I keep staring in awe at they flutter away. The are very pretty.

There is a family of squirrels in our neighborhood and seeing them in the morning carrying on their normal routine makes me think that even animals have their daily life dredges. Some play, i wonder if all animals play in some way.

The sweet scent of a mandarin. It is so small and fragrant. each bite perfectly section for a treat. The burst of flavor on my tongue in the darkness of the parking lot as I leave for work.

As always the complexities of the human condition. How we harm and create and debate and argue, while still going to work, doing groceries, trying out best to create a nest for ourselves at the end of each night, when these big matters are laid to rest again until the following morning.
