Drumming, Bento and Eki Stamps, Komagome, Tokyo, November 8, 2025
During today’s drumming lesson in Komagome, Tokyo, we continued to work on accentuated patterns as started in the previous lesson at the end of October.
ere is a short video of me trying such a pattern along to what is incidentally one of my favorite songs, Don’t Let Me Down by The Beatles.
After the lesson, I walked around the area to the southeastern side of Komagome Station, and got some healthy boxed lunches at Chicken Works Shirokane for my wife and me to bring back home. Here is a quick snapshot of a part of the shopping street before stepping back into the station.
Also, I was today years old when I found out that with the JR East Japan app, it is possible to collect digital stamps at train stations (prints made with the “analog” rubber stamps continue to be popular souvenirs for Japan visitors). Below are the stamps I got today at Komagome and Sugamo Stations, which brings my tally to 2 of 610 available stamps.
On the Toei Mita Line on the way home, there was a passenger who opted for an individualistic approach to riding the subway. In true Tokyo style, nobody really bothered much.
