A newspaper article I found on the internet which, from a naturist perspective, is unacceptable and requires discussion:

Annette Kellow is a British journalist who regularly writes for tabloids such as the Daily Mail, Metro, and The Sun.
From a naturist perspective, her article about her first visit to a nudist beach serves as a textbook example of how ignorance and culturally ingrained prudishness can lead to a negative experience.
Kellow made classic beginner’s mistakes: for instance, she forgot to apply sunscreen to areas of her body not usually exposed to the sun and interpreted neutral situations in a sexual light. She perceived it as threatening when men spoke to her to ask for directions or when men applied sunscreen to their entire bodies. From a naturist viewpoint, however, these are perfectly normal beach interactions.
While it is impossible to rule out that some men may indeed have harbored sexual intentions, Kellow describes no specific incidents—such as suggestive remarks or physical assaults.
Codes of conduct at nudist beaches mandate the preservation of privacy and mutual respect.
Her conclusion—that nudist beaches should be banned—is based on a single, unprepared visit. This conclusion is outrageous and ignores the fact that millions of people practice naturism as a normal, respectful way of life.

My summary is by no means intended to place the blame on Annette Kellow; however, no one forced her to remain in a situation she clearly found unpleasant. She could and should have cut her beach visit short the moment she felt uncomfortable!
