This Hoosier boy loved seeing a scenic basketball court. Iceland knows ball? And finally, PUFFINS ARE THE BEST BIRDS* My wife and I saw puffins on Skellig Michael off the coast of Ireland 7 years ago and quickly deemed them The Best Birds.

Iceland: Day 0/1

Late flight out of O'Hare to Reykjavik. Sadly I am kind of a Big And Tall Guy, so sleeping was pretty rough. At least I got to see Greenland on the way! But we made Iceland! First we went to the Blue Lagoon, which was so relaxing (and invigorating due to it being low 50s and blowing mist when out of the water). With the place we are staying not available for a couple more hours we decided to head to Gunnuhver Geothermal Area. That whole area looks like another planet.

Travel!

Since I have up to 5 blogs on pckt, I might as well do one for travel. I've always loved travel, from when I was a kid, single and 20s, married, and now with kids. I might do a look back at some favorite trips of the past but mostly this will be looking forward. This Monday night the family (me, wife, 2 kids 10 and 14) are heading to Iceland for 10 days! (Don't listen to TLC, you can chase waterfalls if you want to)
