The Americans for Citizen Voting-Michigan proposal remains uncertified for Michigan’s November ballot after U.S. Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh denied ACVM’s emergency request to force the proposal onto the ballot. The denial did not resolve the underlying petition dispute, and ACVM’s separate case before the Michigan Supreme Court remains pending as Michigan approaches its September 4 ballot-finalization deadline.

You Can Still Vote by Mail in Michigan: What’s Happening With the USPS Rule Now

Key parts of a new USPS rule affecting mail ballots remain blocked while several federal court cases continue, and the Trump administration has again asked the U.S. Supreme Court to intervene. The Supreme Court has not decided whether the final USPS rule is legal. For Michigan voters, the most important thing has not changed: you can still vote absentee by mail, return your ballot at an official drop box, and use the other voting options available under Michigan law.

The Community Voting Rights Art Installation will be exhibited at Fountain Street Church in Grand Rapids, with Preview Week beginning September 12 and public voting opening September 18. VAAC will also take part in special programming at Fountain Street Church on Sunday, September 20.
