Leaf Table Lamp Progress!
Jul 3, 2026
Got the Storsegel adapter and base ring for the leaf lamp printed in the wood pla so it's time to put the base together! First attached the adapter to the Storsegel light fixture and legs using 3x 8-32 1/14” machine screws. Then the smaller Lush Leaf Lamp ring (called the top in the Lush Leaf models) screws into the adapter with 6x 6-48 ½” machine screws. They are a right fit in the small holes there but I wanted to ensure it was snug.

Starting The Official Print For The Lamp
Jul 3, 2026
Finally figured out printing with the hardened nozzle and wood pla. Turns out the new nozzle was ever so slightly longer so I needed to do a bit of a Z-Offset Debating trying to sand and stain the pieces, too. We'll see. Won't be able to finish the project until later in July though as the fam is taking off for a long vacation on Monday.

Leaf Lamp Project (More Progress)
Jun 30, 2026
So after a good deal of trial and error for the Storsegel Adapter design, I think I have something that's gonna work. Been printing my beta in just brown PLA before I dive into the Wood PLA. The tricky party was definitely the adapter. I had to make a countersink in the adapter so that the screws that hook into the Storsegel socket/legs would go flush or below the top of the adapter, giving room for the bones of the lamp to snap in. Also had to make a narrower hole in the middle where the Storse...

Leaf Lamp Project (In Progress)
Jun 26, 2026
So my big current project is a lamp based on this Lush Leaf Lamp model that my wife came across via like TikTok or something. I grabbed some wood pla (and a hardened nozzle) but I'm still in the design phase. I'm creating an adapter to make this work with an IKEA Storsegel table lamp. So first I need a way to attach the thing to the Storsegel bulb holder/wire stuff. I found this Storsegel Lamp Base model and took the base fastener from that to modify it so that it can then attach to part of the ...

Stuff I've Designed
Jun 26, 2026
First off, the one I'm most proud of. My daughter wanted a way to display medals and and stuff she has gotten as part of the show choir program in her schools. I designed this from the ground up - my first time doing that. Includes hooks for hanging medals and a tall backing that I stuck thick foam on to pin medals to. Small Shelf And Hooks. I also made this Gerbera Daisy Earring Stand for my wife since that is her favorite flower. Remixed another model of the flowers and then made my own stems/...

Adjustable Marble Maze
Jun 26, 2026
Now in the realm of stuff I designed from the ground up! My son's cub scout den last year was doing a thing with marbles and stuff, and one of the requirements was making a marble maze. Instead of show box lids and glue and stuff, I decided to 3D print an adjustable marble maze that they could put together, take apart, and put together in new configurations! I made the design available on Printables - Adjustable Marble Maze

Flower Pots
Jun 26, 2026
I got my 3D printer about a year and a half ago and one of the things I've had fun printing is a few flower pots. This is the drift planter from printables and was one of my first large-ish prints. I also did this Mario Pipe Planter that turned out great too.

I upgraded my pckt account to have 5 blogs after just having the one for my D&D nonsense. Figured I'd use another to post about some of the 3D printing stuff I get up to. I'm no whiz when it comes to design, but it's fun to have side projects. I have a FlashForge Adventurer 5M. I'll follow up some posts with some of my favorite things I've printing and then about my biggest project to date.
You've reached the end.
