AWS catch-ups
Just realised I forgot to blog these last week! Several of my old AWS colleagues were in town for meetings and I managed to catch up with a few of them. On Sunday after the Spring Cycle I went into the city for a beer with Shigeru-san. And on Thursday night I headed to The […]

By the end, a dev deploy took about 14 min

Finding the Waste in AI-Built Deploy Pipelines

The pipeline had been built the way I build most things now, one feature at a time with Claude writing most of the code, and each piece of it had been correct when it was added. I started muda to find out where those minutes went. It began as an audit script and a written standard inside that proje

AWS Lambda Web Functions Are Here. Test Them Locally with LocalStack.
AWS Lambda Web Functions let you run full web apps and API backends on Lambda, with no adapters or custom configuration. LocalStack supports them from day one, so you can build and test those apps locally, alongside the rest of your application, before deploying to AWS.
