Which Way Now?
A tourist stopped to check her map, standing in the sun outside the walls of Óbidos Castle. Deep shadows surround her, where I preferred to stand, out of the heat of the sun.

A Moment on the Cobbles
Óbidos is a walled town north of Lisbon, all cobbled lanes and whitewashed walls. I spotted a street cleaner stopped for a moment waiting for her colleague to come down the road. I'd guess the straw hat over her headscarf is her own and on a street with no shade it was needed. They do...

On Portugal's Coming Presidential Elections
In just under a week, Portugal will be undergoing this year's Presidential Elections, in which the next president will be chosen. And what a ridiculous spectacle - to not say the other word that is in my mind - they are already.

On Voters Turnout
The Netherlands is amidst a turbulent election, where a progressive party and a far-right party are headed to have the same amount of seats in the parliament. And this is with around 17% of the votes each, it's not even a big majority. Nevertheless, I want to focus on voter turnout.

One more month has passed, and June is now away from us. We've officially entered the last half of the year, at least when it comes to counting months. It was quite a busy month, with travel, new job, events, and the heat! Let's take a look.

Parlamento dos Jovens
At school, I participated a few times in the Youth Parliament. The Youth Parliament is an initiative of the Portuguese Parliament that gives a chance to young students to somehow get a feel of what politics involve. In the end, the measures that come out of this are actually debated by the real politicians in parliament.

This year has been passing way too fast. In the beginning, I felt the urge to finish the academic year. Now, I'm only one month away to the beginning of my (hopefully) last year of university. Exciting projects may happen this year and I'm here for it.

Recently
It's been a little bit over a month since I first arrived in Eindhoven. Since then, I have had time to explore the city, a bit of Rotterdam, and even find a Portuguese store with "Pastéis de Nata" in Helmond! I have also had time to study, but had to decrease my time at Protocol Labs due to my studies. With all of this, I haven't had time to give much love to my blog.

Portugal Is a Beautiful Country
Portugal is one of the small big countries, in other words, Portugal have too many things to offer: history, monuments, culture, beauty!
