In this article I will be citing some early and ancient Jewish and Christian interpretations of Genesis 6:1-4, where the sons of God that came into the daughters of human beings to have sex with them are explicitly identified as angels. It was during this time that the Nephilim appeared on earth and that children were born from this union.
