Received a letter from my consultant after my colonoscopy. For some reason, the team have decided not to offer Infliximab, because I had to stop treatment due to surgery. Instead, they are offering Adalimumab, with which I am unfamiliar.Again, there is reference to painkillers, with some options mentioned, but no idea as to when these are to be prescribed.I've also received an appointment with the Dietetics department at the local hospital. Pre-Op
Tuesday was my pre-operative assessment. Not had this as an outpatient before, so didn't realise it involved an ECG, blood tests and a 45-minute interview. Luckily, my new tumbler keeps water cold enough that I have increased my fluid intake, so the blood test was taken from my arm, and it was an easy draw.Thanks to some friends, I didn't have to navigate the buses, etc., and rocked up early. Doo Doo
It's a childish title inspired by this app's creator. It is also what I have been dealing with an excess of these past 48 hours. I've literally only taken water on board, as any and all food is exiting faster than it is being consumed. I've had pain so bad that I've been taking painkillers, significant blood loss with every expulsion, and the inevitable lack of sleep as I am held captive in the bathroom. I'm beyond tired, hungry and fed up.
