thoughts as the year winds down
I went into this year with the singular thought that progress over perfection. I have the on going problem of having so many ideas in my head, so many ideas started, but so few things actually finished. I suffer highly from shiny object syndrome in the worst of ways and in the last few years I focused a lot on not starting new projects but instead on muscling forward on several open projects. And I will say for the most part that was a good idea. I have so much stuff or Ascent of Crystal Tower t...

i'm okay i promise
I have been a tad bit busy these last couple of weeks for a whole host of reasons. Starting with I sort of impulsively decided to go to Dragon Con in Atlanta. And by impulsively I mean I called my cousin and was like hey can I come stay with you for a week? And thankfully she was like sure! With my stay sorted out all that was left was the con tickets (which for a 5ish long convention is shockingly cheap!) and airfare (which always makes me weep). I will be making a longer different post about D...

stuff was done, money was spent
Good morning ya'll! I did some things! And by did the thing I mean spent money to do stuff. I have them all not on auto pay because I don't wanna forget next year and have them auto renew BUT I'm hoping by spending a little bit of money it will help me commit to posting to all these places more often. And yes I know it's a bad idea to spread myself around in so many places but I think if I make this blog and http://asalwaysimani.com/ as the main places to find things out about what the heck I'm ...

we made it!
Would you look at that! We're basically at the end of the month of June and I made it through with a single crash out or succumbing to burnout! It was a tough month I will say that but we made it through. Juneteenth went amazingly well, we gathered $425 for all 24 people involved. Which no isn't a lot of money in the grand scheme of things but considering last year I don't even thing we got more than $100 total I count that as a win. I have a few thoughts about things I wanna do for next year in...

shine so bright and i refuse to burn out
I am still trying to fight off being overwhelmed by all the things I have on my plate not going to lie. Between things I've assigned myself, things I've picked up to do for other people, and my actual dayjob there's a lot to do and only one of me. Thankfully two things have happened, one being a lot of these things are on deadlines which means once that date has past they're done and I have one glass ball in the air juggling. The second is that Jess (@burstofhope.itch.io) the wonderful amazing p...
