Apps ready, company not yet

I have been building apps for myself for a long while. Several are ready, but I need a company before I can take them further.

or a long while I have been building apps I wanted for myself.

A better LinkedIn. A mail server without multiple moving parts. Others besides.

Some started as an itch. Some started as curiosity. I use all of them.

When the Bongo Project paused, I was heartbroken. It was a game changer in its time, with its heritage in Novell's NetMail server.

Some have sat on my wish list for over 10 years. Some for 5. Others are brand new.

None of them is a weekend build. I have worked spec first for a few years, after a lot of trial and error. I have been building Nectvia since May 2024.

Several have reached the point where I would normally announce them.

I can't yet.

Taking payment in Germany needs a legal entity. I don't have one. First I create the company. Then I work out the tax region. Then every requirement has to be in place before anyone can pay me for anything.

Complying is frustrating. It takes forms, waiting and patience, and none of it ships a feature. It is necessary, and I accept that.

While I wait, I keep building and keep planning what comes next.

So I wait, with a to-do list.

I would like a few more testers.

If LinkedIn frustrates you because it hides your contacts' posts and articles, or you want to own your data, join the Nectvia waitlist and I will open the door for you to test.
